In today’s tutorial, you will learn how to create a vintage old photo effect to a portrait by using Photoshop filters.
I am going to start with Camera Raw Filter in Photoshop You can custom black and white version of your image before work with the sepia tone.

Then you can add grain and vintage effect and generate a nice faded image. Consequently, by toning its highlights, lightening the shadows and reducing contrast in the mid tones, which is in the Camera Raw Filter itself

Let’s start the tutorial:

Step 1:

Go to preference from file option and active camera raw filters

Step 2:

Choose HSL/ Grayscale for filtering the original image

Step 3:

Click on HSL/ Grayscale and apply the furthermore filter

Step 4:

Adjust
Red = 52
Orange=57
Yellow=10
Green=27
Aqua’s= -28
Blues=25
Purples=16
Magentas=50

Step 5:

Set the Split Toning for highlight Hue = 40, Saturation = 30 & for Shadows Hue=45, Saturation= 50

Step 6:

Now go to effects (fx) and set Amount=40

Size=60
Roughness=60
Highlight priority amount
Amount= 45
Midpoint=50
Roundness=0
Feather=50

Step 7:

Edit Basic filters from camera raw at the end
Temperature= -30
Tint=7
Exposure= -0.30
Contrast= -4
Highlights= 1
Shadows= 1
Whites= 7
Blacks= 2
Clarity= 33
Vibrance= -91
Saturation= -57
